Jody Karam's Elite Wrestling Camp

Camp Philosophy

Jody Karam's Elite Wrestling Camp strives to meet the needs of both the beginning wrestler - those with little or no experience - and also those of the more experienced wrestler. Wrestlers are grouped together by age and then matched up with a partner of similar size and ability. Wrestlers attending the camp range in age from 5 years old to 15 years old.

Wrestlers with little or no experience are taught basic skills and techniques. They are matched up with wrestlers of similar size and skill level for both the instructional phases of the camp and also for live wrestling sessions. The wrestlers learn through the demonstration and drilling of basic techniques and through the opportunity to apply what they learned in a live wrestling situation. Wrestlers are taught by coaches who are experienced with the needs of younger and / or beginning wrestlers.

More experienced wrestlers are given instruction on improving and refining their technique, along with exposure to many basic skills and moves, to strengthen their technique. They are taught by a variety of coaches and guest clinicians, and are given opportunities to ask questions.

The coaching staff of the camp consists of an extremely accomplished group who are unsurpassed anywhere. in their ability to teach youth wrestling. Coming from all ranks of the sport - from youth wrestling coaches, to junior high and high school coaches, all the way through college level coaches - they are able to offer a learning opportunity that is the best anywhere!

The camp, entering its tenth season, has been growing every year. You are encouraged to take part in this rare opportunity. Whether you have no wrestling experience at all, are a novice wrestler interested in furthering your basic skills, or are an experienced wrestler interested in enhancing your techniques, you are guaranteed to benefit from this camp.
